• Bo Mitchell

  The Publisher of fantasyfootballchamps.com, Bo Mitchell has been playing fantasy sports since the 1980's and has been working in the fantasy sports industry since 1995, when he first began writing for "Fantasy Football Weekly," the most acclaimed magazine of its kind in the industry's history. When the FFW crew launched the web site Fanball.com in 1999, Bo joined as a full-time writer. He ascended to the level of Publisher, helping establish Fanball.com as the most popular and most visited pure-play fantasy sports site on the web and transforming their award-winning magazines into the best in the business. Bo came to FFChamps from Fanball following the 2007 season.

  As a nationally-recognized fantasy football expert, Bo has also produced a fantasy football television show and has been a part of the very popular Fantasy Football Weekly radio show since the 1990s. It is the longest running and most popular fantasy football radio show in the country. Bo can be heard co-hosting the program on Saturdays from August through December on AM-1130 KFAN in the Twin Cities and all along the FAN Radio network or you can download each show at KFAN.com.

  Bo is a member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association and will be participating in the FSWA Insiders League this season. Through the years, Bo has also participated in countless other industry expert drafts and even appeared as a guest expert commentator in the book, "Fantasy Football for Dummies."

Life is great as an FFChamps.com subscriber because winning, for lack of a better word, is good! Below we have broken down our services into pre season and in season, and the tools and processes used for both.

Preseason

Before you can win a single game, you'll need to draft your team. You'll need to prepare yourself mentally for your draft, and be ready when your name is called to pick the right players.

The Tools

Once you've signed up for a fantasy football league—whether it’s online or offline, with friends or strangers—you're going to need to prepare for your draft. The FFChamps.com preseason articles and Draft Kit will provide you with continuous updates leading up to Week 1.

By participating in Mock Drafts, you'll have an idea of which players will be available on draft day. You can draft against other members, guaranteeing solid competition as you're all armed with the FFChamps edge, or against computer opponents which use a special formula that resembles real people in real drafts, so you don't feel like you're up against a computer. You'll need to think on your toes, just like in your real draft.

Draft Day

It all comes down to this. You've been reading the articles, analyzing the statistics, and practicing your draft strategies. Now it's draft day. What do you do?

If your draft is online, simply load up your Draft Tracker prior to your draft, and keep it open alongside your league's draft window. As picks are made in the draft, you select the players in your draft tracker, and you'll immediately have an updated cheat sheet with all the drafted players removed, and a draft tracker showing you your entire league's running rosters so you'll always know what positions the other owners need.

If your draft is offline, you can print out a blank Draft Tracker and a copy of your customized cheat sheet, or you can use our Offline Draft Tracker. The Offline Draft Tracker allows you to load your customized settings onto your laptop for use at your draft location, even if you don't have Internet access there. Once you get home, you simply click a button and all your draft info is uploaded to the website and stored in MyTeams.

In Season

The fantasy football season is a 17-week marathon for fantasy owners. Every week, there will be a few things to do to give you the best shot at winning. At FFChamps, we make it easy to do everything you need to win your league(s) and still have time to have a life. Don't waste your whole week trying to find that edge when we hand it to you on a silver platter.

The Tools

• Hot Pickups: Championships are won and lost by the waiver wire. Early in the week, we'll analyze the Hot Pickups of the week that are probably available in your league’s free agency pool or on your waiver wire. Don't let your opponents pick up the next Ryan Grant before you do!
  
  
• Trade Bait & Prey: Did your backup just have a monster week? He may be trade bait! We'll show you how to use breakout weeks as a way to bait opponents into trading you better players. We'll also tell you what players that others may be undervaluing but you should be trying to get on your team. It’s all about buying low and selling high.
  
  
• FFCPI: Our flagship product, and the biggest reason that we win year in and year out. Using a combination of sophisticated computer algorithms, trend analysis, and good old fashioned gut feelings, we produce the Fantasy Football Champs Performance Index every week of the year. When it's time to set your roster for the week, you simply look at the FFCPI. The players on your team will be highlighted, and it's easy to see who's ranked higher for the week. Simply start the guys who have the highest FFCPI values and you're guaranteed to have the best shot at winning you can get. Our FFCPI is updated all week, right up until game time on Sunday. No matter what your league's roster requirements are, you'll always have the latest info so you can make the right choices for your starters.
  
  
• Rest of the Way Rankings: Much like the C3 during the preseason, the ROTW Rankings are your in-season cheat sheet. Get rid of them and bring in those who are excelling, and watch as your league mates sit back in awe as you continue to grab all of the best players.
  
  
• Team Analyzer: When the going gets tough, the tough.... ask for advice. Simply select which of your teams you need help with, enter your questions (trades, waiver pickups, etc.) and Bo or one of our other expert staff members will analyze your roster and scoring options, and give you an answer that is customized for your league. Why get canned responses that don't apply to your league's scoring rules when you can have a guardian angel with you the whole way?
