Ellis out for Week 11
Nov 21, 2:24 PM New Orleans Saints' defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis has been downgraded to out for Week 11. He sprained his knee in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins, and practiced this week for the first time in nearly a month.
Fantasy Spin: The Saints have gotten brutalized on the ground in Ellis' absence (giving up a combined 431 yards to opponents' lead backs in the three games he's been hurt). He is their most talented body on the D-line, and definitely their best run-stuffer. The fact that he won't go increases the fantasy value of Cadillac Williams and Derrick Ward slightly...but neither is more than a weak No. 2 fantasy back or flex play this weekend. Bush doesn't travel with team, out Sunday
Nov 21, 2:14 PM According to ESPN.com, New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush did not travel with the team to Tampa, and will not play Sunday against the Buccaneers. Bush missed practice this week due to swelling in his left knee, and the Saints are being especially cautious because it's the same knee that Bush had surgically repaired late last season.
Fantasy Spin: Bush's absence gives Pierre Thomas' fantasy value a boost against the Buccaneers. The two practically play different positions, but Reggie is a scary red-zone option because of his versatility, and with him out coach Sean Payton may rely more heavily on Thomas when they near the end zone. Bush is coming off his best game of the season, when he tallied 98 total yards and two scores in a victory over the St. Louis Rams. According to the report, the team expects Bush back at practice next week. View original story

White questionable again
Nov 21, 12:21 AM Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver Roddy White is listed as questionable for the third consecutive week. The Falcons travel to New York to face the Giants in Week 11.
Fantasy Spin: No worries here, White has been questionable the last three weeks, and looked fine each week. Expect more of the same in New York from Matt Ryan's favorite target on the outside. Assuming the status quo holds, and White is out there on Sunday, we have him as a top-15 play at wide receiver this weekend against a suspect Giants' secondary. Breaston limited Friday, should play Sunday
Nov 21, 12:16 AM Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Steve Breaston (knee) was limited in Friday's practice, but is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy Spin: Breaston should play, and the Cardinals will throw. The Rams' secondary gets torched on a regular basis, and this weekend should be no different. Breaston is a top-15 play at wideout this Sunday, and owners should insert him into their Week 11 starting lineups in all formats. Jones limited, questionable
Nov 21, 12:10 AM Houston Texans' wide receiver Jacoby Jones (calf) was limited in practice Friday, and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Spin: Jones was limited in practice, and appears will not be 100% by gametime, even with the extra day to rest and heal. Jones is a supremely athletic wideout with big play potential in the Texans' high octane offense. He is terribly inconsistent though. Obviously, as long as robo-receiver Andre Johnson is in town, Jones will never be more than a second option. Kevin Walter probably holds that distinction currently, but Jones has a much higher upside than the wily veteran Walter (who is really best suited for the slot). Jacoby Jones could be a fantasy factor eventually in dynasty leagues. The bottom line for Week 11, however, is that you can almost assuredly do better finding a flex play/No. 3 wide receiver looking elsewhere. Stroud ruled out for Week 11
Nov 21, 12:00 AM Buffalo Bills' defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (knee) has been ruled out for the team's Week 11 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Spin: Buffalo has the worst run defense in the league. Stroud is Buffalo's best run-stopper. Maurice Jones-Drew scores touchdowns whenever he wants to. He plays the Bills this weekend. How do you see this story ending? MJD was our No. 1 fantasy play at running back this weekend whether the big fella in the middle for the Bills played or not, but without Stroud clogging the lanes, Jones-Drew will probably find it easier to stay on his feet this week (as opposed to last week's debacle, when his kneel-down ultimately sealed the victory for his team...but no doubt sealed the fates of countless fantasy teams across the land, as well). He'll make up for the lost score this weekend against the Bills. Buffalo Bills' defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (knee) has been ruled out for the team's Week 11 match ... read more... read less

Moore out again
Nov 20, 11:33 PM New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Lance Moore (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Week 11.
Fantasy Spin: Moore's 2008 season is a distant memory in the bayou this year. Even if/when ever healthy again this year, Moore will likely be stuck behind the more physically gifted Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson on the depth chart. Colston is obviously the No. 1 in New Orleans, but lately opposing defenses have focused on stopping him (and, in turn, have slowed the Saints down as a whole). Their opponent this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have just the recipe to continue this trend, as star-in-the-making cornerback Aqib Talib will most likely draw Colston as his assignment on Sunday. This could open the door for Henderson or Meachem to have a big game. The trick for fantasy owners (as is always the case with secondary Saints receivers), is picking which one. One thing is for certain in Week 11, however...it won't be Lance Moore. New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Lance Moore (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Week 11. ... read more... read less

Morris questionable
Nov 20, 11:25 PM Speaking to reporters from the Boston Globe today, New England Patriots' running back Sammy Morris said he felt "Sore, but good" and that he was taking his knee injury "day by day." Morris is listed as questionable to face the Jets this Sunday, and has not played since injuring the knee in Week 6.
Fantasy Spin: The Patriots' are almost comically evasive about disclosing their players' injuries and status for upcoming games. Add in coach Bill Belichick's propensity to shuffle his backs around as the game dictates, and predicting which running back will reap the rewards of The Hoodie's offensive juggernaut is an exercise in futility. Morris could be in street clothes this weekend...he could get 30 carries...who knows? But our job, even in the foggiest of New England depth charts, is to be a beacon of guidance and offer an educated guess...and ours is that Laurence Maroney is the Patriot back you want this weekend, whether Morris plays or not. Maroney is a flex play in Week 11 against the Jets, or a weak No. 2 running back in super deep leagues. View original story

Coles probable
Nov 20, 11:04 PM Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver Laveranues Coles (head) practiced fully on Friday, and is listed as probable for the team's game versus the Oakland Raiders.
Fantasy Spin: Coles will most likely be good-to-go for Sunday. You have to think Chad Ochocinco will be blanketed by all-world cover specialist Nnamdi Asomugha for most of the contest, so Coles may get even more looks than normal this weekend (though, as it stands, he has led the team in targets over the past two weeks). Coles is no longer the deep threat he was in New York, but he is a valuable possession receiver, and with the tendency for the Raiders offense to be in a hurry to get off the field, that should mean a lot of possessions for the Bengals this Sunday. Still, Coles remains nothing more than a flex play in Week 11. Owners must hope Carson Palmer continues to target the veteran from Florida St., and that Coles begins to find the endzone with more regularity...and Coles' fantasy value will begin to rise accordingly down the stretch. Garcon questionable, but practices fully
Nov 20, 10:49 PM Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Pierre Garcon is listed as questionable to face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 because of his sore ankle, but practiced without restrictions again on Friday.
Fantasy Spin: All indications are that Garcon is pretty much a lock to play this weekend against a once-feared Ravens' defense that will have a hard time stopping Peyton Manning and a presently-feared Colts' offense. Garcon practiced fully the last couple of days, and appears to be working through the ankle injury that kept him out of practice earlier in the week. Start him confidently as a flex play (or low end No. 3 fantasy receiver in deeper leagues). View original story

Berrian limited again
Nov 20, 10:40 PM Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Bernard Berrian (hamstring) was limited in practice again on Friday, and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fantasy Spin: Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin are both better targets at this point, and Visanthe Shiancoe is the preferred red-zone target for Old Man Favre. Hamstrings have a tendency to linger and limit a player's burst off the line, and both have been true for Berrian. However, all that said, Berrian still has fantasy value, and if healthy, could make for a decent No. 3 fantasy wideout this weekend against a banged-up Seattle secondary. Finley looks like a go
Nov 20, 10:27 PM Green Bay Packers' tight end Jermichael Finley practiced fully again on Friday, and is now listed as probable for this Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. He has missed the last three games with a sprained left knee.
Fantasy Spin: Finley was able to practice all week, and looks to be a go for this Sunday. His status for Week 11 has been upgraded to probable, but he is still a very shaky fantasy play. Unless you play in a deep league that starts two tight ends, you can probably do better than Finley, at least for Week 11. Bush misses third consecutive practice
Nov 20, 10:20 PM New Orleans Saints' running back Reggie Bush missed his third straight practice on Friday. Bush has been experiencing trouble with his surgically-repaired knee all week, and is listed as questionable for his team's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Fantasy Spin: Bush's two-touchdown performance last weekend against the Rams is a big reason why the Saints are still undefeated. Though he doesn't really fit the prototype for any position in the NFL, Bush is a rare overall athlete, and he showed the impact he can have on a game last Sunday. There is a lot of speculation that Bush will not be able to go at all in Week 11, however, after missing three consecutive practices this week. The prevailing theory seems to be that New Orleans should have an easy time with the Bucs (with or without Bush), and coach Sean Payton will thus choose to allow the knee another week to heal. Bush's absence would mean an even tastier matchup for Pierre Thomas, as the Saints should move the ball at will on Sunday, giving him a good probability of punching one or two in the endzone against an undermanned Tampa D. Haynesworth very questionable
Nov 20, 10:02 PM According to ESPN's John Clayton, Washington Redskins' defensive lineman Albert Hayneworth (ankle) is "very questionable" for this Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Clayton speculates that the Redskins' biggest offseason acquisition could very well see "little or no work" even if he is active on gameday.
Fantasy Spin: This is obviously a huge blow to the Skins' run defense. Even if Haynesworth plays, it sounds like he will not be close to 100 percent. Kedric Golston is his backup on the D-line. The Cowboys' running game has been sporadic this season, with all three backs (Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice) having bright spots here and there. Washington is in the bottom third of the league in run defense, so the opportunity is there for Barber & Co. to control the ball on the ground this Sunday. As with any RBBC, Dallas' backfield can be a crap shoot week to week, but we think Barber is a solid No. 2 fantasy option at running back in Week 11. View original story

Turner doubtful
Nov 20, 9:46 PM Atlanta Falcons' running back Michael Turner is listed as doubtful for this Sunday's game against the New York Giants because of the high ankle sprain he sustained last week. He did not practice all week.
Fantasy Spin: OK, Michael Turner isn't going to play. You heard it here first. Enough already. The only question for the Birds this weekend is whether Jerious Norwood will steal some of Jason Snelling's third-string thunder. We're guessing probably not, considering he hasn't seen the field in over a month. But, even with Giants' linebacker Antonio Pierce in street clothes, we still don't anticipate Snelling running rampant over the G-Men on Sunday. Still, he is definitely the strongest fantasy play out of the Falcon backfield in Week 11 (though probably only a flex play or weak No. 2 back, at best).
